2nd Quarter Assembly Meeting

The Dallas Assembly of the Brotherhood of Saint Andrew will hold its second 2022 quarterly meeting at Christ Church, Dallas on June 4th, 2022. Our gathering will begin at 8:00 with the Eucharist liturgy at 8:30. We will have as our guest speaker Tatiana Androsov. Mrs Androsov has worked for the United Nations in many capacities for several decades. Though retired now she is an expert on the subject of ‘Human Migration’. This month she is once again addressing the UN and will be at our assembly speaking to us about her address to the UN and her decades of experience serving the UN. You don’t want to miss this if you care for what is happening in Europe, at our southern borders, and elsewhere in the world.  This is a link to her web: https://www.tatianaandrosov.com/

Please plan to attend our 2Q Assembly. Your Brotherhood of Saint Andrew Assembly strives to bring you excellent speakers on topics current to our Christian world view and experience to include past presentations of human sexual trafficking. Attending Mrs. Androsov’s presentation on human migration will be well worth your time.

At our 1Q Assembly at Epiphany in March we had a wonderful and informative presentation from Father Christopher Stephen, Missioner to the Diocese of Dallas, on his experiences growing up in Pakistan and his Christian spiritual journey. In addition to relating his personal life story, Father Christopher provided demographic and geographic information about Pakistan to provide context for the discussion of his life story. Pakistan is the world’s 5th largest population, and Christians represent only 2% of the total population.  98% are Muslim. He provided glimpses into his childhood life, and emphasized his mother’s appreciation for the need of his education.  Life’s priorities for him were (1) Family and (2) Education.  Both mother and father practiced their faith earnestly at home.  Reading scripture and prayer were childhood mandates. As he matured, he found Church “not meaningful.” Focusing on education first, he obtained a business degree. Then he returned to his spiritual side as a result of being mentored by an adult who saw “something in him.” Fr. Christopher pointed out to us that “whoever you are, someone has helped form you.” Thus, through his mentor’s constant encouragement and support, Fr. Christopher became interested in becoming an Anglican Priest. His mentor was instrumental in getting Fr Christopher admitted to Seminary. He was ordained in 2005, and made an Anglican priest in 2007 in Pakistan.
