Hearts And Hammers – September 2012
The Diocese of Dallas Brotherhood of St. Andrew chapters, working with Hearts & Hammers and the City of Dallas, recently renewed the exterior of two houses in south Dallas. Chapters from Holy Trinity – Garland, Redeemer – Irving, St Andrew’s – Farmers Branch, Epiphany – Richardson and representatives from St. Matthews – Dallas, Holy Trinity By The Lake – Heath, Holy Nativity – Plano and Incarnation – Dallas, along with friends and relatives, replaced siding, storm doors, damaged soffits (full of wasps), repaired/replaced gutters and downspouts, scraped off old paint and repainted the houses. All this took place on the 15th and 22nd of September.
This is the first Hearts & Hammers project for the Dallas Brotherhood Assembly. All went well in spite of a people shortage at one of the houses on the last day.
Hearts & Hammers is a great organization to work with and run by big-hearted folks.
Thanks to Don Candy and his team leaders Roger Hogle and Charlie Brockett for leading the Brotherhood in this worthy effort.
