Brotherhood of St. Andrew - Dallas Assembly

First Quarterly Assembly Meeting Held on 4 Mar 2017

The first quarterly meeting of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew Dallas Assembly was held at Epiphany Richardson on the morning of March 4th, 2017.  After the opening prayer, assembly president Mike Model introduced the featured speaker, Terri Stringer, the Patriot Paws’ Assistant Executive Director. Mike also introduced Patriot Paws puppy handler Sylvia Yetts. Patriot Paws is a 501(C)(3) organization that provides specially trained service dogs to disabled veterans and first responders. The Dallas Diocese Brotherhood of St. Andrew Assembly is a major Patriot Paws sponsor.

Terri’s presentation was focused on volunteer projects badly needed at the Patriot Paws training facility that could potentially be completed by teams formed from the Dallas area Boy Scouts and the Brotherhood . As Terri looks on Sylvia showed the Brothers just how much a four month old puppy named Coffee could do. Here he is pushing a  button like those often seen on power assisted handicap doors.  Coffee performed admirably. He is very well trained for his young age.
