St Michael and All Angels Serves The Gathering

“The Discipline of Service is to make continuous efforts, week by week, to bring others nearer to Christ through His Church”
As one of the Brotherhood’s three disciplines, the Chapter at Saint Michael and All Angels in Dallas is dedicated to serve at The Gathering in downtown Dallas as part of its service to the community.
The Gathering is a Mission of the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas that began in 2012. From a humble start of 5 parishioners, The Gathering has grown to an average Sunday attendance of over 90. The Gathering was founded with the mission of creating a spiritual home for those in the Dallas area who are homeless or have insecure housing. The weekly Eucharist service is open to all and is where many find encouragement, purpose, and strength. The Gathering meets people at their point of need and provides them love, a much-needed meal and a powerful Gospel message. In addition, The Gathering routinely provides personal hygiene items, backpacks, sleeping bags, and seasonal wearables.
