Lt General Richard Lynch, 3rd Quarter Keynote Speaker

Dear Brothers,

It is my pleasure and honor to announce that our key speaker for our 3rd Quarter Assembly on September 8 at Epiphany in Richardson will be Lt General Rick Lynch (Ret.). His topic will be spiritual fitness based on material from his two books; Work Hard Pray Hard, The Power of Faith in Action and Adapt or Die.

Rick Lynch was born in Hamilton, Ohio.  He attended the United States Military Academy primarily because his parents couldn’t afford to send him to school anywhere else.   He applied to two military service academies, West Point and Annapolis, and received his acceptance letter to West Point on a Monday, and his acceptance letter to Annapolis the very next day.  He attended West Point only because he received that particular letter of acceptance earlier.  The postman truly determined his fate. After graduating from West Point he planned to be in the Army for only 5 years.  He stayed 35 years.

The Army, for Rick, transitioned from a job, to a profession, to a passion.  He was blessed to command at all levels, from company (about 100 Soldiers) to Corps (about 65,000 Soldiers) and ended his career commanding all of the US Army installations.  Rick loves being around Soldiers and their Families, and is humbled to be in their presence.  They are the true American heroes.

The best thing Rick ever did was to marry his beautiful bride, Sarah in December, 1982.  Sarah is a professional educator with a caring heart.   Over the past 34 years Rick and Sarah have focused on truly taking care of America’s most precious resource, those Soldiers and their Families entrusted to their care.

As a speaker Rick is very much in demand having presented before audiences in dozens of companies and organizations. He is a member of many boards that work with military veterans. We are very fortunate to have such an experienced speaker address our assembly about a topic, spiritual fitness, which all brothers should want to know more about in both our chapters as well as our private lives.

Let us gather once again on September 8 at Epiphany in Richardson in prayer, study, and service with a spirit of brotherhood.

Blessings,

Brother John Norton

President, Coadjutor
