Dear Brothers,                                                                                                             11 May 2020

We have come through a difficult time and perhaps we are finally close to the end of mandatory ‘stay at home’ & ‘stay in place’ requirements. However, many of us who are seniors, golden agers, will still need to and want to be careful. Although I will maintain a positive outlook on the endgame which will most likely be defined as a workable Covid19 vaccine, I am realistic enough to know that many will still be reluctant to assemble in large numbers for some time. With regard to that I am making two announcements regarding plans for assembly this year.

First, we will postpone our Summit Retreat scheduled for this September until September 2021. It was to be an all dioceses men’s weekend discipleship retreat in lieu of the 3Q Brotherhood assembly. Second, we are cancelling our 2Q assembly which was to be held at St Dunstan in Mineola. We will meet at St Dunstan for our 3Q assembly on Saturday, September 12th. Please pray for God’s blessings making that possible. Hebrews 10.25 reminds us,

not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, …”

By assembling together and encouraging one another we are stronger and are given tools by the Holy Spirit to overcome the discouragement, despair, and the deception of the enemy.

Our 4Q Assembly will be on Saturday, December 5th at Holy trinity in Garland.

Some of our brothers have been affected personally by Covid19 within their families. We would wish to know who has been touched by it by name so we may continue to pray for comfort, healing and recovery. Let me know and I’ll pass it on among us so we may strengthen one another by our prayers.

Peace in the Lord Jesus,

John Norton
