Dallas Assembly Quarterly Meeting – August 20, 2011

The Quarterly meeting was held August 20 at Epiphany Richardson.

A total of 34 Brothers representing 11 Chapters throughout the Diocese attended. Brother Bob Elliot, from St. Anne’s in Desoto, gave a wonderful talk on the Study of Discipline and can be viewed at

A lengthy discussion on suggested Brotherhood Assembly service projects for 2012 was had, since we will no longer be involved with the Habitat Ministry. Several projects were presented:

• A Brush with Kindness
• Hearts & Hammers
• St. Simons After-School
• Patriot Paws
• Adopt A Platoon

All Brothers were asked to go back to their respective Chapters to discuss any other possible projects that they could actively support, and send them to Robby Gerber.
We plan to discuss again at the 3rd Quarterly Meeting and have some decisions made to announce at the annual meeting.

There is a surplus in funds received for the Habitat House so Larry Maxwell will be discussing options on the extra funds with the parties involved.

The revised Bylaws were discussed, as they are still being worked on, and they will be presented in their final form at the next Quarterly Meeting. Also, there will be an election at the annual meeting for a new President and Secretary, so we asked the Brothers to appoint a voting delegate from their Chapter, along with an officer, so two votes will be counted from each Chapter.
