4th Qtr Assembly Message from our President

Dear Brothers,
We had a wonderful Assembly in September hosted by our brothers at Saint Michael and all Angels. Brother Mark Demler’s presentation of Bishop Curry’s most recent book. Love Is the Way, was not only very instructive but current to who we should strive to be every day in our Christian living. It is as current as what Christ taught us to be His disciples. Almost 40 brothers attended our first live person to person gathering since the pandemic lock down. Throughout this past difficult time of isolation from the Community of Believers we were able to hold virtual meetings in every quarterly assembly, except one. You responded and attended. Praise God!
On December 4th we will have our 4Q Assembly for 2021 also live and in person at Holy Trinity in Garland. Bishop Sumner will officiate the Eucharist liturgy. Isn’t it wonderful that we can be there with him in person with a full presentation of the sacraments starting at 9 AM! Afterwards our Holy Trinity brothers will serve us a hot breakfast. Then Bishop Stanton will teach us from his great store of knowledge and wisdom using his own ABCs of Faith as a source. Isn’t this a wonderful way to end a difficult time with promise and joy for a new year during the season in which we rejoice in the birth of Christ Jesus.
Recently I met with Bishop Sumner. We discussed the Dallas Diocese of the Brotherhood of Saint Andrew and how we can better serve his ministry with our goal of improving ourselves through Prayer, Study, and Service. We can show him our commitment to serve the diocese ministry and our church by attending this assembly and through the Eucharist commit to another year of Prayer, Study, and Service to the Church as best as we are able.
Invite a younger brother to come with you.
Blessings in His care,
John Norton
