2022 1st Quarter Assembly Meeting
Dear Brothers,
The Lord be with you! That greeting for me is not just a rote part of our liturgy, as wonderful as it is. That greeting grabs my heart and assures me that The Lord is truly with us and with me. Of course, you know the very familiar passage in Matt. 18.20, when Jesus says, “For where 2 or 3 are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” The comfort that gives us is immersible.
I have a personal testimony of the Lord’s protecting and guiding presence in my life. I look back with abject gratitude and I pray humility of His grace (that which I do not deserve). Nine times that I know of I have been saved from severe injury or imminent death. Five of those were during my service as a platoon leader with the Army Rangers while serving 2 years in Vietnam. Only recently have I been able to speak about it and still only rarely. Most do not understand fully my experience. But what I understand is that the Lord is with me … always … to the end of the age.
The 2022 First Quarter Brotherhood Assembly Meeting will be held at Epiphany-Richardson, Founder’s Hall, on Saturday, 5 March, 2022. Registration will begin at 8:15 Eucharist will be celebrated at 8:30 followed by our normal quarterly business meeting. If you have business for the assembly let me know so I can put it in the assembly business. Included would be you chapter past and future activities.
