2012 Brotherhood Golf Tournament Results

This year’s annual golf tournament sponsored by the Dallas Assembly of the Brotherhood of St Andrew was played on May 29th at Canyon Creek Country Club.

The Brotherhood has selected Patriot Paws Service Dogs as our charity outreach benefactor. Patriot Paws was organized in 2006 with headquarters in Rockwall. Patriot Paws is a member of Assistance Dogs International and employs certified dog trainers to train carefully selected candidates to assist disabled Veterans in myriad daily tasks made difficult or impossible by their injury. Several trainers with their current dog in training were present and demonstrated tasks they can perform for their future Veteran recipient.

A seven week old black Labrador entering the puppy phase of training was introduced at  the awards dinner as St Andrew, called Andy for short.

In addition to a large crew from Patriot Paws, special guests included one of the recipients of the Patriot Paws services, Richard Heath and his dog Wendy.

Golf Results:

• The first place gross winning team was comprised of Charles Chard, Jim Vineyard, Donald LaFlame, and Henry Stover.
• The second place gross winning team included Paul Lambert, Daniel Allen, Brad Bedford, and Brett Williams.
• The first place net winner included Randy Chambers, Dale Greene, Bill Hrvison, and Dee Mayo.
• The second place net winning team consisted of Nick Gerber, Robby Gerber, Stan Gerber, and Jim Wilkie.
• Closest to Line Drive on hole #16 was Stan Gerber
• Men’s long drive on #8 was Nick Gerber
• Lady’s long drive on #4 was Amanda Knudsen.
• Closest to the pin on #2 was Charles Chard.
• Closest to the pin on #6 was Steve Skinner.
• Closest to the pin on #14 was Don Bradford.
• Winner of the putting contest was Nick Gerber.

The Brotherhood would like to express their thanks to all who participated in the tournament either as hole/tee sponsors or players.

The 2013 tournament will be played again at Canyon Creek on  a date not yet determined.
