Dallas Assembly Officers’ Meeting – July 9, 2011

The Dallas Assembly Officers’ meeting was held at Holy Nativity on July 9,2011. Present were: Robby Gerber, Fred Manget, Don Candy, Larry Maxwell, Jim Vineyard, John Phipps and Jon Browne.

Jim Vineyard reported that the Golf Tournament, held last month at Canyon Creek, will net about $3,900 after the bill from Canyon Creek is received. The turn out and receipts are about 50% lower than last year

Jon suggested the need for a vision statement which would motivate Chapter members to support fund raising directed at one or more charitable causes in addition to Assembly expenses. Hopefully, such a statement could be discussed at the next Quarterly meeting with the Chapter Directors. The meeting will be at Epiphany, Saturday, July 30. 9:00 to 11:00 AM.

Larry reported that to date we are about $4,000 short of the $40,000 needed to fund the Habitat house build.  Dedication day for the house will be Saturday, November 12. Robby suggested the dedication be set for 10:30 AM.

Don reported on Chapter development. St. John’s, Pottsboro is a possibility. Further discussions are scheduled with the clergy at Incarnation..

Jon will draft a revision of our By Laws in advance of a special meeting of the Assembly Officers, Monday, July 25 at 6:00 PM at Epiphany. Copies of National By-Laws were distributed for reading.

The 2012 National Triennial will be in Nashville.
