Holy Trinity Garland Brew Day Set
Brothers of the Dallas Assembly! Are you a fan of good beer? Would you like to learn how to make your own brew at home? The St Andrew’s Suds Society (SASS) of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew will host a brew day and beer exchange on 2 June, Noon – 3pm. Come and watch how to brew beer, meet and talk to experienced home brewers, enjoy a brat, some fellowship and participate in a beer exchange (bring a 6 pack of your favorite craft beer to share and one to exchange).
The Brother Andrew responsible for bringing the most guests will win a home brew kit provided from Homebrew Headquarters in Richardson, 300 Coit Rd, Suite 134, (www.homebrewhq.com). Holy Nativity’s Rector and homebrewer of considerable note, Fr Garrin Dickinson will be on hand to award the prize. He will also share some insights from his years of experience to those interested in beginning to brew their own beer.
The Brotherhood of St Andrew is an organization of Christian men who dedicate themselves to the disciplines of prayer study and service for the spread of Christ’s Kingdom among men and youth. St Andrew’s Suds Society (SASS) is an organization of Brothers Andrew who brew beer in keeping with the monastic tradition of hospitality. We regularly gather in community, boast about our most recent efforts and learn insights about the art.
If you would like to find out more about our society, join us on 2 June. Please call the Holy Trinity church office (972-226-1283) to sign up (or email Fr. JD Brown) as they will need a head count for food. Bring a Friend!
