Epiphany Crawfish Boil Set For May 5, 2012

Epiphany Crawfish Boil - Epiphany Episcopal Church - Richardson TXThe Annual Crawfish Boil at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany will take place Saturday May 5th from 1:00 – 5:00pm.

Fresh crawfish from Fruge’s farm in Branch, Lousiana are delivered in 30 pound bags in the morning and by the afternoon we have a full blown crawfish boil served family style with generous helpings of corn and potatos, and everything is spiced just right. Of course we’ll have a selection of cold adult beverages to wet your whistle and keep your taste buds satisfied. A one ton cast iron smoker will be cooking Cajun sausage, and for the kids we’ll have a hot dog meal, with chips and lemonade.

This year we will have two live music acts including local musician Aaron Burton who will be playing the Delta Blues while singing from the heart and playing the harmonica. Four piece bluegrass band Angel Gabriel and the Honey Dippers will play both original songs and your favorite covers.

Epiphany Richardson Crawfish Boil - Richardson TXTickets for adults are $20 and include all you can eat crawfish, sausage, drinks, live music and good times. The kids tickets are $5 and in addition to a hot dog meal, they can enjoy the bounce house, crawfish races and even help in the washing and sorting of the crawfish. We anticipate over 250 people at this outdoor event, and the casual come and go atmosphere lets you arrive when you can and relax and enjoy the day with us and listen to the blues while enjoying the food.

In support of the mission work The Church of the Epiphany does in Uganda, Honduras, New Orleans and Coleman, Texas, all proceeds from this event will go towards funding future trips.

“The annual crawfish boil at the Church of the Epiphany combines three of my favorite activities: boiling crawfish with friends, eating crawfish with friends, and helping young people help others on mission trips. It’s a best value for a great cause with a group of awesome people” as quoted by crawfish cook and Richardson City Councilman, Scott Dunn.

Tickets can be purchased online.

The church is located at 421 Custer Road, Richardson, Tx 75080.
